Cloud23 engineered revenue-management capability for Lesaka Group, a Nasdaq- and JSE-listed African fintech, building quote-to-cash on Salesforce Revenue Cloud. The work gives the business a consistent, governed process from quote through pricing to revenue — the kind of financial rigour a listed fintech's reporting depends on.
Revenue management — the quote-to-cash process that runs from pricing a deal through to recognising the revenue — is one of the more exacting systems a business operates. It has to price consistently, turn quotes into orders accurately and produce revenue that is correct and auditable, because errors here surface directly in the numbers the business reports.
For a listed fintech, that rigour is not optional. A company answering to public markets on two exchanges carries reporting and governance expectations that a fragmented or manual revenue process struggles to meet, so the quote-to-cash engine behind the numbers has to be dependable by design.
Engineering this on Salesforce Revenue Cloud meant building the quote-to-cash flow to reflect how the business actually prices and sells, while keeping it consistent and governed enough to stand behind the revenue it produces.
Revenue is the number a business is ultimately measured on, and for a listed company it is scrutinised externally. A quote-to-cash process that is inconsistent or hard to audit creates risk precisely where the stakes are highest — in the financial results the market sees.
The capability stake is confidence: a governed revenue-management platform lets the business quote, price and recognise revenue through one consistent process, so leadership and reporting can rely on the numbers rather than reconstructing and reconciling them.
The engineering team began with discovery of the revenue process — how the business prices, how quotes become orders, and how revenue is recognised — to establish the quote-to-cash flow Revenue Cloud needed to express and where consistency and control mattered most.
Quote-to-cash was then built iteratively on Salesforce Revenue Cloud, configuring pricing, quoting and revenue mechanics to match how the business actually operates, and validating each part against real revenue scenarios rather than assumptions.
Because the output feeds reporting a listed company stands behind, testing and governance were treated as core engineering work — the process had to produce revenue that is correct and auditable, not merely functional.
Cloud23 engineered a revenue-management capability on Salesforce Revenue Cloud, giving Lesaka a consistent quote-to-cash process from pricing and quoting through to revenue rather than a set of disconnected steps.
Pricing and quoting are handled through one governed flow, so deals are priced and turned into orders consistently, and the revenue that follows traces back through that same process.
The result is a quote-to-cash engine built for the rigour a listed fintech requires — a consistent, auditable path from quote to recognised revenue.
The programme delivered a governed quote-to-cash capability on Revenue Cloud, giving the business one consistent process from pricing and quoting through to revenue rather than a fragmented or manual flow.
The platform gives Lesaka revenue that is consistent and traceable through a single process — supporting the reporting and governance rigour expected of a company listed on public markets.
Because the capability is engineered on a configurable platform, it gives the business a foundation to adapt as its pricing and products evolve, rather than a fixed process that must be rebuilt when the commercial model changes.
