Data Engineer

Build and operate the pipelines that collect, clean and store enterprise data so models and reporting can use it safely and efficiently.
What you’ll do
- Design and build batch and streaming pipelines against real banking and enterprise sources.
- Model data so that a figure in a dashboard traces back to an agreed definition, not a hidden query.
- Engineer for lineage, quality and reconciliation — the parts that make reporting trustworthy.
- Work with platforms including Snowflake, AWS, Data Cloud and Tableau.
- Treat data protection and residency as design constraints from the start.
What we’re looking for
- Strong SQL and at least one programming language used seriously for data work.
- Experience building pipelines that run unattended and are debugged when they do not.
- Understanding of data modelling, warehousing and the cost of getting it wrong.
- Exposure to cloud data platforms; AWS and Snowflake are an advantage.
- Care about correctness over cleverness.
