AI Ethics & Compliance Specialist

Ensure the AI we build is fair, explainable and compliant — with POPIA, GDPR and the sector regulation our clients answer to.
What you’ll do
- Assess models and systems for bias, explainability and unintended impact, with documented method.
- Build the governance artefacts an enterprise client and their regulator will ask to see.
- Advise engineering teams early, when a design decision is still cheap to change.
- Track evolving AI regulation across the markets Cloud23 delivers in.
- Hold the standard when commercial pressure argues against it.
What we’re looking for
- Working knowledge of data-protection law, POPIA and GDPR in particular.
- Understanding of how ML systems fail — technically, not just conceptually.
- Experience in risk, compliance, audit or legal within a technology context.
- The confidence to give an unwelcome answer with evidence behind it.
- Financial-services regulatory exposure is a strong advantage.
